In order to complete an online AVE application, you will need to provide biographical data such as name, date and place of birth, gender, marital status, address, nationality and passport number. You will also need to answer a few questions about your background to determine if you can enter Canada. For example, you will be asked about your job and how much money you have to visit Canada, and if you have any health problems.

No age limit applicable. All holders of an eligible passport, regardless of their age, must apply for an eTA.

No. Each person must submit a personal eTA request. Even if your child (ren) appear on your passport, a separate eTA application must be submitted for each child.

Visas are generally processed and approved, with confirmation sent, within 1 working day (s). Depending on the time your request and your passport details are submitted, processing may take up to 3 business day (s).

Although most eTAs are delivered in less than 1 business day (s), some may take longer. In a small number of cases, additional information is required for the request to be approved. We will contact you by e-mail and advise you on how to proceed. We may ask you:

• Documents ou informations additionnels, ou
• An in-person interview at the nearest Canadian visa office.

Note : If the details of your eTA do not match the data on your passport, you may experience delays in boarding the plane or having your entry to Canada refused.

If your application is not accepted, you should contact the nearest Canadian visa office.
